The Rising Sun was and still is a symbol within the national flag of Malawi since the country gained independence in 1964. The Rising Sun represents the dawn of hope and freedom for the African continent. A symbol and term that was so prevalent during Monique's childhood in Malawi, and was clearly defined within the intricate design details of this bed head.
Constructed by hand with a timber frame and support work with Cane supports and bamboo weave that introduce texture and interest to any bedroom. Each bed head is constructed with 2 support legs that sit well within the width of the bed base.
Choose exact size for bed base, or a design option is to choose oversized bedhead to stretch behind bedside tables.
